There are over 530,000 private and over 1,000 government finance and insurance establishments that employ over 6.5 million people in the United States, that means that 1 in every 50 people work in this industry!

Professional Services companies offer Advisory and Expertise to Financial Services companies.

The startup market represents both extreme opportunity and challenges, to individuals joining these companies with the valid concern of longevity and the Founders and Leaders looking to bring in the right people to help achieve their lofty goals.

Most hires are the first time roles with these companies, in many cases the job description makes up around 50% of the actual role, meaning that the right hire brings more to the table than the “job description” describes.

You’ll likely start your job and look back after 6 months to realize that your daily duties are made up of initiatives and projects that you have incredible ownership of and are imperative to the success of the company, far beyond a typical job brief!

The US has approximately 1 million startups across all industries, employing around 5 million people. On average 1,500 startups receive venture capital funding each year, with roughly 50,000 more funded by angel investors.

Did you know…

Startups are sometimes the easy reference for companies that have under 5 people, but in fact 4 times as many people are employed right now at companies with under 5 people than companies between 5- 250! Over 12 million people in the US work for a company with 1-4 people.. these are not all Startups technically, but this stat shows that people like working as part of small teams!
